At ZenDenPen, privacy is not a feature; it is our foundation. We believe in the "Small Web" where humans can create without being followed by shadow-profiles or advertisers. We collect the absolute minimum information required to provide you with a sanctuary for your code.

We only gather information when it is technically necessary for the operation and security of the sanctuary (Legal Basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR):
- Account Data: We store the username you choose and the email address you provide for account recovery and essential service communications.
- Technical Logs: Our servers automatically record your IP address during registration and within standard server access logs. This data is used exclusively for technical troubleshooting, system performance monitoring, and the prevention of fraud, brute-force attacks, or malicious activities.
- Usage Statistics: We gather aggregate, non-identifying metrics regarding system-wide usage. This helps us ensure the servers are running smoothly and helps us plan capacity as our neighborhood grows.
2. Our Stance on Cookies
We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics scripts. We use only essential session cookies. These are strictly necessary to keep you logged into your dashboard. They do not follow you across the web or record your behavior outside of ZenDenPen.
3. Data Sharing & Third Parties
- We Do Not Sell Data: We have never, and will never, sell your personal data, IP logs, or email addresses to advertisers or data brokers.
- No Third-Party Analytics: We don't use external trackers like Google Analytics. Your visit to our site is a private matter between your browser and our server.
- Law Enforcement: We only share data when legally compelled by a valid warrant, subpoena, or court order. We strive to minimize the data we hold to protect you from overreach.
4. Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, or delete your personal data. You can perform most of these actions directly through your dashboard. For "Right to be Forgotten" requests, please contact us via our support channels.
